142 South Central Avenue + Dearl Whitaker Road
Located next to Rocky Hollow Recreation Center, the recently renovated Rocky Hollow Park offers a scenic escape in the middle of downtown Somerset. Walk or jog through the park on a newly paved trail that connects the recreation center to the outdoor basketball courts at the other side of the park, have a picnic in our open green spaces, or play disc golf on our free hillside course.
Our disc golf course is set in mature woods with tough pin placements, demanding fairways and no undergrowth. Hole No. 7 is the signature hole: a 300-foot downhill ace run with OB creek in play.
Joe Ford Amphitheater is nestled inside Rocky Hollow Park. The amphitheater’s 40-by-20-foot stage, restrooms and dressing room offer a great place for outdoor performances of any kind.
Rocky Hollow Park’s outdoor basketball courts on Dearl Whitaker Road were recently transformed into a mural by local artist Amanda Brooks. Inspired by the colors in the city’s logo, the courts are open for play daily until dusk.
