A full weekend of community events is planned to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day in partnership with Somerset Community College, First Baptist Church – Somerset, KY and The Virginia!

MLK Unity Breakfast: 8:30-10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17 at Somerset Community College’s Meece Hall with guest speaker Dr. Rick Smith, president of Dallas College Northlake and author of “They Keep Moving the Goal Post.” **Space is limited, so please RSVP by noon Monday, Jan. 13, by contacting Elaine Wilson at (606) 451-6915 or elaine.wilson@kctcs.edu.** MLK Community Celebration: 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, at First Baptist Church of Somerset Free showing of Selma: 7 p.m. on MLK Day, Monday, Jan. 20, at The Virginia.
